Diablos Danzantes de Yare in San Francisco de Yare
The Diablos Danzantes de Yare are masked devil dancers who perform a penitential dance before the Blessed Sacrament each Corpus Christi in San Francisco de Yare, Miranda state, part of a more than 400-year-old Venezuelan cofradia tradition recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012.
Each year, on the ninth Thursday after Holy Thursday, the streets of San Francisco de Yare fill with devils who kneel before God.
