Co Loa Festival in Hanoi
Cổ Loa Festival brings the traditional Eight Communes of Loa Thành to Hanoi's ancient citadel to honor King An Dương Vương. Palanquin processions and temple offerings occupy the ceremonial center, while wrestling, crossbow shooting, human chess and traditional performance may spread through the relic grounds. Its appeal lies in seeing communal worship unfold inside one of Vietnam's defining early fortified capitals.
Eight neighboring communities converge on the old spiral citadel with palanquins for the principal rite of the Cổ Loa Festival.
