Quan The Am Festival in Ngu Hanh Son
The Quan The Am Festival honors the bodhisattva Avalokitesvara each year at Ngu Hanh Son, the Marble Mountains, in Da Nang, Vietnam, on the 19th day of the second lunar month. The 2026 edition runs April 4-7 at Quan The Am Pagoda. Recognized as one of Vietnam's 15 major festivals since 2000 and designated National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021, the event includes a statue procession, incense offerings and lantern-floating rituals.
Each year, on the 19th day of the second lunar month, the marble peaks of Ngu Hanh Son outside Da Nang draw pilgrims and visitors to Quan The Am Pagoda for a festival honoring Avalokitesvara, the bodhisattva of compassion known in Vietnam as Quan The Am.
