Thay Pagoda Festival is held annually in the third lunar month, centered on the 7th day, at Thien Phuc Tu Pagoda in Quoc Oai district, roughly 30 kilometers southwest of Hanoi, honoring Buddhist monk Tu Dao Hanh, credited locally as the founder of Vietnamese water puppetry.
