Albania's first international music festival, launched in 2018 by UK-based Mainstage Festivals at Dhërmi, kept secret during promotion as an 'undiscovered paradise beach' and now recognized as the pioneer of the Albanian Riviera's entire festival scene. a role that helped establish the entire wave of festivals that followed on the coast.

Kala Festival became Albania's first ever international music festival when it launched in 2018, bringing electronic music to the shores of Dhërmi and effectively pioneering an entire festival scene on the Albanian Riviera that has since grown to include multiple major events along the same stretch of coastline.
