Shkodra Jazz Festival in Shkoder
Part of the five-city JAZZinALBANIA network launched in 2012, Shkodra's August jazz festival brings international performers from Italy and Germany together with Albanian musicians, honouring jazz artists persecuted during the communist era. Set in northern Albania's cultural capital, it draws visitors interested in both live jazz and the country's musical history.
Shkodra Jazz Festival brings a genuinely international jazz programme to northern Albania's cultural capital, part of a broader festival network that began in 2012 as the Tirana Jazz and World Music Festival before being renamed JAZZinALBANIA in 2016 specifically to reflect its expansion across five Albanian cities: Tirana, Shkodra, Korça, Fier and Elbasan.
