Za Fest in Theth/Shkoder
A three-day mountain festival in Theth village blending music, poetry, film, hiking and yoga, created by singer-songwriter Vlashent Sata specifically to connect the isolated Albanian Alps community with the wider world during the annual road closure season. with more recent editions also extending programming to the more accessible Rozafa Castle in Shkodër.
Za Fest carries a name drawn directly from the Gheg dialect of northern Albania, where 'za' means voice or sound, a fitting title for a festival built around giving genuine voice to the traditions, stories and music of the Albanian Alps.
