OTSO Travessa d'Encamp in Encamp
The OTSO Travessa d'Encamp, first run in 1983 and billed as the oldest trail race in the Pyrenees, sends runners from Encamp's central Plaça dels Arínsols onto mountain routes of 7 to 84 kilometres, with vertical and children's races rounding out the weekend. Its town-square start makes it one of Andorra's most spectator-friendly mountain events.
The Pyrenees' oldest trail race starts from a town square: the Travessa d'Encamp has been sending runners out of the Plaça dels Arínsols since 1983, and that combination of village heart and high mountain remains its identity four decades on.
