Bay to Breakers in San Francisco
Bay to Breakers is a 12-kilometer race through San Francisco each May, running from the Embarcadero near San Francisco Bay across Hayes Street Hill and through Golden Gate Park to the Pacific Ocean surf. Alongside serious runners, the race is known for costumed participants, linked centipede teams, and a long-running festival atmosphere that has made it as much a citywide parade as a footrace.
Its combination of sport, spectacle, and local weirdness makes it highly Eventisimus-friendly.
