Festival Internacional de Gospel Sons da Graca

A free, open-air gospel concert staged on the sand of Luanda Bay each New Year's Eve, featuring dozens of Angolan gospel choirs, soloists and orchestras. Organized around themes of faith and gratitude rather than as a conventional countdown party. Organized by Chazon Media Cristã with backing from the Ingombota municipal administration, it draws crowds that have run well past organizers' own early estimates of roughly seven thousand attendees.

Luanda closes out the calendar year with a free open-air gospel concert on the sand of Luanda Bay rather than a countdown clock: the Festival Internacional de Gospel Sons da Graça — subtitled 'A Voz da Gratidão,' or the Voice of Gratitude — runs from late afternoon on December 31st into the new year, positioning worship rather than fireworks-watching as the evening's centerpiece.
