Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch in Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre
A regional calypso championship at Landsome Bowl drawing competitors from Anguilla, Antigua, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis and beyond, running since 1997 and recently marked by Ge'Eve's historic win as the youngest-ever champion. making it one of the longest-running and most genuinely regional music competitions anywhere in the Eastern Caribbean.
The Leeward Islands Calypso Monarch is the most regionally significant music competition on Anguilla's Carnival calendar, a contest that pulls the best calypsonians from across an entire chain of islands into direct competition rather than showcasing homegrown talent alone.
