Buenos Aires Marathon in Buenos Aires
South America's longest continuously run marathon, held since 1984 with a flat, fast 42.195-kilometer course that starts and finishes in the Bosques de Palermo. The route passes Teatro Colón, the Obelisco, Plaza de Mayo, and La Bombonera stadium before tracking the Puerto Madero waterfront on the way back.
The Buenos Aires Marathon has run without interruption since 1984, missing only a single edition in 2002, which makes it one of the longest continuously held marathons in South America.
