The story

Cosquin Rock in Santa Maria de Punilla

A multi-day outdoor music festival on an airfield in Córdoba's Punilla valley, running since 2001 and now based at its third venue after outgrowing two earlier sites. The lineup mixes veteran Argentine rock acts with newer domestic bands and international headliners across several simultaneous stages, spanning genres well beyond rock, with no on-site camping offered.

Cosquín Rock spent its first several editions in the town whose name it still carries, launching in the Plaza Próspero Molina in 2001 before financial pressure forced a move to a nearby site in 2005 and, as crowds kept growing, a further move in 2011 to the Aeroclub grounds in Santa María de Punilla, where it has stayed since.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

The festival has physically outgrown three separate venues since its 2001 launch, moving from Cosquín's town plaza to a nearby site and then, in 2011, to its current Aeroclub grounds as attendance kept climbing

02

The mystery stays covered

It runs with no on-site camping, so lodging is scattered across Punilla valley towns rather than concentrated at the festival grounds, and its lineup has broadened well past its original rock focus into electronic and pop crossover acts
