Adelaide Fringe in Adelaide
The world's second-largest arts festival after Edinburgh's Fringe, running between mid-February and mid-March across hundreds of Adelaide venues with an open-access model that lets any artist register a show, drawing more than seven thousand performers and over thirteen hundred events including comedy, cabaret, circus, and theater.
Born in 1960 as a small, informal offshoot of the inaugural Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Fringe has grown into the second-largest annual arts festival in the world, trailing only Edinburgh's Fringe.
