WOMADelaide in Adelaide
A four-day world music and dance festival held every March in Adelaide's Botanic Park, launched in 1992 as an offshoot of the Adelaide Festival and now drawing more than ninety thousand visitors annually to see international touring artists and Indigenous Australian performers across multiple outdoor stages within the fenced thirty-four hectare park.
Botanic Park, a broad stretch of open parkland wedged between Adelaide Zoo and the Adelaide Botanic Garden, becomes a four-day world music encampment each March for WOMADelaide, one of the longest-running festivals in the international WOMAD family.
