Perth International Jazz Festival in Perth
Perth International Jazz Festival brings touring international artists and Western Australia's jazz scene together across venues from His Majesty's Theatre to the intimate Ellington Jazz Club, with free outdoor stages at Northbridge Piazza and Cathedral Square. Founded in 2012 by Graham Wood, the festival runs each spring through the CBD, Northbridge and Hyde Park, spanning traditional swing through to contemporary fusion and experimental jazz.
Perth International Jazz Festival was the brainchild of the late Associate Professor Graham Wood, who established the event in 2012 with the aim of giving Western Australia a jazz festival that could stand alongside the country's best.
