Queenscliff Music Festival in Queenscliff
Queenscliff Music Festival began in 1997 as a small local event to promote tourism in the Bellarine Peninsula town of Queenscliff, and now draws more than twenty-five thousand people each late November across stages set up in halls, pubs and parks throughout the town. Run largely by volunteers, it mixes national touring acts with emerging and local Australian artists in a heritage seaside setting.
Queenscliff Music Festival started small in 1997, founded by a handful of locals who wanted to boost tourism to their Bellarine Peninsula town and showcase what made Queenscliff distinctive, and its first mid-November edition drew a modest crowd of local blues and roots acts performing in cafes, halls and parks around town.
