Bezau Beatz in Bezau
Bezau Beatz is an early-August jazz and improvised music festival in the Bregenzerwald market town of Bezau, founded in 2008 by local drummer Alfred Vogel and now co-curated with percussionist Valentin Schuster. Concerts unfold across a striking mix of venues, including a historic railway depot, a working art forge, the parish church of St. Jodok, and a mountainside panorama restaurant.
Bezau Beatz was started in 2008 by drummer Alfred Vogel, a native of the Bregenzerwald market town of Bezau who built the festival around jazz and improvised music in a region with little prior connection to that world.
