Nordkette Wetterleuchten Festival in Innsbruck
A two-day electronic-music festival staged at the Seegrube station on Innsbruck's Nordkette mountain, reached only by cable car, where house, electropop and experimental electronic acts play at nearly 1,900 metres above the city, with on-site camping available for attendees staying overnight on the mountain, a format the festival has sustained for more than two decades.
A cable car built to link Innsbruck's old town to the mountains above it doubles, for one July weekend, as the only way up to a dance floor set at 1,905 metres.
