Apple Festival Quba in Quba
Quba, home to roughly 14,000 hectares of apple orchards and Azerbaijan's horticultural center, has held the Apple Festival, or Alma Bayrami, annually since 2012. Timed to the harvest, it features variety exhibitions, competitions for the biggest and sweetest apples, folk performances, and food stalls celebrating the district's fruit-growing identity.
Quba's orchards cover roughly 14,000 of the nearly 22,000 hectares of apple cultivation across the wider Guba-Khachmaz economic region, making the district Azerbaijan's horticultural center and the natural home for a festival built entirely around the fruit.
