Shilaidaha Rabindra Festival in Shilaidaha/Kushtia
A three-day festival (25-27 Boishakh) at Shilaidaha Kuthibari, the riverside Padma-side estate near Kushtia where Rabindranath Tagore managed his family's land and wrote much of his best-known poetry. Expect open-stage Rabindra Sangeet performances, poetry recitation and discussion sessions held in the actual house and garden rather than a city concert hall.
Twenty kilometers outside Kushtia town, on a bend of the Padma river, sits Shilaidaha Kuthibari - the riverside estate house where Rabindranath Tagore managed his family's zamindari lands and wrote some of his best-known poetry and songs.
