Baje to the World in Bridgetown
A government-run, genre-open talent competition, not limited to calypso or soca, that takes singers, dancers, comedians and other performers through parish heats to a live public final. It offers a broader mix of acts in one evening than the single-format calypso tents running the same season.
Baje to the World began as a government-run alternative to reality television talent shows: singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other performers audition through the Community Development Department, then work through parish-level heats and semi-finals before a live final decides the season's winners.
