Barbados Hockey Festival in Wildey/Bridgetown
The Barbados International Hockey Festival brings club teams from the Caribbean, Europe, the Americas and beyond to the Wildey hockey facility in Bridgetown each year, playing men's, women's, veterans' and mixed matches across two artificial pitches. Running since 1985, it is billed as the largest field hockey festival in the Western Hemisphere.
The Barbados International Hockey Festival began in 1985, the idea of a hockey enthusiast, a cricket commentator and the then-president of the Barbados Hockey Federation, and has since grown into an event organizers describe as the largest and most cosmopolitan field hockey festival in the Western Hemisphere.
