Kolozha Blagovest Festival in Grodno

Grodno's oldest surviving church becomes a concert venue each February when the Kolozha Blagovest festival brings Orthodox choirs together beside the Neman River. Named for the twelfth-century Kolozha Church of Sts. Boris and Gleb, one of the few surviving examples of ancient Rus architecture in Belarus, the festival gathers church and secular choral ensembles from Belarus and abroad for a week of performances closing with a gala concert.
