Couleur Cafe started in 1990 as a tribute to African and Caribbean rhythms staged inside a converted industrial hall in Schaerbeek, long before it grew into Brussels' largest showcase for funk, hip-hop, reggae, soul and other music rooted outside the European mainstream.
