LaSemo Festival in Enghien
A francophone pop, rock and chanson festival held in the landscaped Parc dEnghien, built around a historic castle and its grounds since relocating there in 2013 from an original site on a river island in Hotton. The festival is known for street theater processions of oversized puppets and masked performers moving through the grounds, alongside an ecological-transition theme with dedicated eco workshops.
LaSemo started in 2008 on a small island in the river town of Hotton before relocating in 2013 to the landscaped Parc dEnghien, trading a rural riverside site for grounds built around a historic castle and its gardens.
