Gent Jazz in Ghent
Ghent's summer jazz series unfolds over consecutive evenings rather than one packed weekend, letting visitors catch a single headline night without committing to a multi-day pass. Though rooted in jazz, bookings regularly pull in blues, soul, funk and world music. The setting, a historic hospital precinct with lawns and Gothic stonework, gives it a garden-party character uncommon among Belgian summer festivals.
Gent Jazz stages its entire program on the grounds of De Bijloke, a former medieval hospital complex whose Gothic hall and gardens now share the site with a purpose-built open-air amphitheater.
