Rock Werchter in Werchter
Rock Werchter is one of Europe's largest rock and pop festivals, run over four consecutive July days on a purpose-built festival ground in Flemish Brabant. Four stages of varying size, an on-site campsite used by most attendees, and a lineup built around international headline acts define the visit more than any single performance.
What began in 1974 as a single afternoon featuring two support-tier bands, Banzai and Kandahar, on a patch of Flemish farmland has grown into one of continental Europe's largest rock festivals, drawing crowds in the hundreds of thousands across four consecutive days each July.
