Royal Manas Winter Fest in Panbang
Royal Manas Winter Fest is a young festival, first staged in 2025 to revive the cultural heritage of Panbang's Lower Kheng region and timed near the King's birthday, pairing local cultural performances with adventure activities such as white-water rafting and hiking beside Royal Manas National Park. A second edition followed in 2026, but the event is still finding its permanent shape and annual date.
Panbang sits at Bhutan's southern edge beside Royal Manas National Park, a subtropical lowland district known more for tigers, rafting rivers and the Lower Kheng communities than for festival tourism, and Royal Manas Winter Fest was created specifically to change that.
