FITAZ La Paz International Theatre Festival in La Paz

FITAZ, La Paz's international theater festival, was founded in 1999 by Maritza Wilde under the banner Teatro por la Paz en el Mundo and has run biennially since 2000, awarding the Premio Kusillo to national and international productions. Editions bring theater companies from more than thirty countries into venues across La Paz, alongside a standing program for young audiences. The municipality declared it Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2018.

FITAZ, the Festival Internacional de Teatro de La Paz, began in 1999 under the title Teatro por la Paz en el Mundo, founded by theater producer Maritza Wilde in the same year La Paz was named Iberoamerican Capital of Culture.
