Eternal Flame Fest in Sarajevo
A winter metal festival in Sarajevo, held over two nights each February inside Dom Mladih and named after the city's nearby Vjecna vatra WWII memorial rather than any event tied to that landmark's own anniversary. Regional and touring metal bands share one stage across genres from power and heavy metal to death and black metal.
Eternal Flame Fest borrows its name from Sarajevo's Vjecna vatra monument, a WWII memorial flame first lit in 1946, but the festival itself is a mid-winter metal show at Dom Mladih (the House of Youth) rather than any commemorative event tied to that anniversary.
