Kweneng Cultural Festival in Molepolole
The Dithubaruba Cultural Festival celebrates Bakwena tribal heritage each year at the Ntsweng heritage site in Molepolole, Botswana. Organized since 2007 by the Kgosi Sechele I Museum with support from the Botswana Tourism Organisation and the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture, it brings traditional dance, poetry, contemporary music, harvest-season elements and traditional games together, drawing Bakwena communities from across southern Africa.
Each year, the hilltop site of Ntsweng above Molepolole, Botswana, comes alive again as the historic seat of the Bakwena tribe hosts the Dithubaruba Cultural Festival.
