March Music Days Ruse in Ruse
March Music Days has run in Ruse since 1961, making it one of Bulgaria's longest-established classical music festivals. Held every March, it fills the Danube river town's concert halls with orchestral, chamber, and solo performances by Bulgarian and international musicians across roughly three weeks, ranging from historical classics to jazz and contemporary composition. It runs under the patronage of Bulgaria's Minister of Culture and the Mayor of Ruse.
Ruse Philharmonic musicians launched March Music Days in 1961 with backing from the municipality, giving the Danube river town one of Bulgaria's oldest running classical music festivals.
