The Ultra-Trail d'Angkor is a January trail-running event around Siem Reap's Angkor Archaeological Park, offering eight distances from an 8-kilometer beginner route up to a full 100-kilometer ultra category. Now in its ninth edition, the race draws well over a thousand international participants through jungle paths, rice-field dikes, and villages rather than the paved city routes used by Siem Reap's road marathons, showcasing Angkor's rural surroundings as much as its temples.

Trail runners set out before dawn each January for the Ultra-Trail d'Angkor, a race that pushes well beyond the paved loops of Siem Reap's road marathons and into the jungle paths, rice-field dikes, and village tracks surrounding the Angkor Archaeological Park.
