Takeo River Festival in Takeo
Takeo has hosted an edition of Cambodia's touring National River Festival, a rotating event founded in Kratie in 2015 that moves annually to a different riverside province to promote local tourism and river conservation. Takeo's program combined cultural performances and blessing ceremonies with a 75-kilometer cycle race from Phnom Penh, canoeing, sky lanterns, Khmer chess, and martial arts, staged around a garden beside Takeo Lake near the ancient site of Angkor Borei.
