Festival Mpo'o is a December gathering in Edea where the Elog Mpo'o, or Bakoko, people mark their descent from the shared ancestor Nnanga Mbang Ngue and their migration from the Ngog Lituba cave on the Sanaga River. Now past its seventieth edition, it combines initiatory rites, dance and music with a retelling of a founding migration story shared with several other Cameroonian peoples.

Festival Mpo'o traces its community's origin story back to a single cave: Ngog Lituba, on the banks of the Sanaga River, which oral tradition names as the starting point for the migrations of the Elog Mpo'o people and several related Bantu groups.
