REC Rock en Conce in Concepcion
Festival REC, originally Rock en Conce, has run every March since 2015 at Parque Bicentenario in Concepcion, along the Biobio River, and is now widely described as Chile's largest free music festival. Recent editions have drawn crowds reported at roughly 250,000 to more than 360,000 people across two days, mixing international headliners with major Chilean rock acts in a city long known as the cradle of Chilean rock.
Festival REC began life in March 2015 as Rock en Conce, a single-day event with fourteen acts including Ana Tijoux and Los Tres, staged at Parque Bicentenario in Concepcion, and has since grown into what is now widely cataloged as the largest free music festival in Chile and one of the largest in Latin America.
