Festival de Jazz de Las Condes in Las Condes
The Festival de Jazz de Las Condes runs across multiple summer nights at the Jardines de Santa Rosa de Apoquindo, organized by the Corporacion Cultural de Las Condes in memory of founder Cristian Cuturrufo. Free but reservation-only, each evening pairs a national jazz band with an international headliner, opened by school ensembles from the Las Condes district, typically in late January or February.
The Festival de Jazz de Las Condes traces its roots to trumpeter Cristian Cuturrufo, who founded the event and built it into one of Santiago's signature summer jazz gatherings before his death; the Corporacion Cultural de Las Condes has since kept the festival running in his name, extending it well past its second decade.
