The Festival Internacional de la Cancion de Vina del Mar is Chile's best-known entertainment event, held every February at the Quinta Vergara amphitheater since 1960. Over six nights it mixes a song competition awarding the Gaviota de Plata and Gaviota de Oro with international headliners and comedy acts, broadcast live nationwide. The Quinta Vergara audience, nicknamed the monster, is famous for its unfiltered live reactions, making a strong set here a genuine career milestone.

Since 1960, Quinta Vergara park in Vina del Mar has turned into an open-air amphitheater built inside a botanical garden, and for six nights each February it hosts what has grown into one of the largest and longest-running entertainment festivals in Latin America.
