Shanghai Sailing Open in Dishui Lake/Lingang
A spring sailing regatta on Dishui Lake in Shanghai's Lingang new city, racing J80 keelboats, ILCA 6 dinghies and an ILCA 4 youth class across several days. Recent editions have drawn multiple-time world champions, Olympic sailors and around 300 competitors, with public viewing from a reserved South Island area and a newer 360-degree vantage point called the Ring of Glory.
Dishui Lake gives the Shanghai Sailing Open a course few sailing regattas can match: an almost perfectly circular artificial lake built as the centerpiece of the Lingang new city development, its geometry offering wind conditions and viewing angles unlike the open-water or harbor courses used by most Chinese sailing events.
