Yuzi-Valley Icefall Art Season in Jingdong Grand Canyon/Pinggu
Yuzi-Valley Icefall Art Season centres on a genuine hundred-metre natural icefall inside Beijing's Jingdong Grand Canyon in Pinggu district, running from New Year's Day through roughly two months of winter. Organisers add light and shadow art, ice lanterns, an ice-brick flower wall and evening concerts around the frozen waterfall, giving Beijing-area visitors a day-trip alternative to further-north ice festivals.
A hundred-metre-wide natural icefall, frozen mid-cascade inside the Jingdong Grand Canyon, is the centrepiece around which Beijing's Pinggu district builds the Yuzi-Valley Icefall Art Season each winter, launched on the first day of January and running for about two months in Shandongzhuang Town.
