Jingpo Lake Waterfall Festival in Mudanjiang/Jingpo Lake
Jingpo Lake near Mudanjiang, a UNESCO Global Geopark and China's largest alpine lava-dammed lake, is home to the striking Diaoshuilou Waterfall and a documented winter ice-fishing festival, though a distinctly branded summer 'Waterfall Festival' could not be independently confirmed as a separate named event beyond the site's daily waterfall-jump performance.
Jingpo Lake, near Mudanjiang in Heilongjiang Province, is China's largest alpine lava-dammed lake and a UNESCO Global Geopark, with its most photographed feature being the Diaoshuilou Waterfall at the lake's northern end, a roughly 40-metre-wide drop of more than 20 metres formed where the lake's outflow crosses a volcanic rock shelf.
