Cali Marathon in Cali
Cali's largest running weekend, grown since 2001 from a locally organised half marathon into an event offering marathon, half marathon, 10-kilometre and 5-kilometre distances. The flat course starts at Estadio Pascual Guerrero and threads the Rio Cali boulevard, Avenida 6N and Avenida de las Americas, drawing thousands of runners to a city that markets itself as a capital of sport and salsa.
The route for Cali's marathon weekend starts on the concourse outside Estadio Pascual Guerrero, the city's principal football and athletics stadium, before threading through Calle 5, the Bulevar del Rio and Avenida 6N on its way back into the historic centre.
