Cook Islands Maori Language Week, Epetoma o te Reo Maori Kuki Airani, is a national observance held in late June and early July, promoting Cook Islands Maori through school, church and community events across Rarotonga and the outer islands. It offers visitors a quieter, more everyday look at Cook Islands cultural and linguistic identity than the larger Te Maeva Nui festival later in the year.
