The story

Floraart Zagreb in Zagreb

Floraart began as Zagreb's Flower Fair in 1966, was renamed and reconceived as an international garden exhibition in 1992, and has been held at Bundek Park since 2006, drawing more than a hundred exhibitors to a free four-day event each May. It is now considered the largest horticultural event in the city.

Floraart traces its roots to 1966, when the first Flower Fair was held in Zagreb's Upper Town, a modest horticultural exhibition that predates the current event's name and much larger scale by more than two decades.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

The exhibition spans over 300,000 square metres of open grounds at Bundek Park, allowing exhibitors to build full temporary landscaped garden installations rather than only staging cut-flower displays, a scale of horticultural exhibition space unmatched elsewhere in Zagreb's festival calendar

02

The mystery stays covered

Its six-decade history spans three distinct identities, moving from a modest 1960s flower fair through a 1990s garden exhibition rebrand to its current large-scale free public event beside the Sava River
