Zagreb Music Biennale in Zagreb
Music Biennale Zagreb is an international festival of contemporary music held in Zagreb, Croatia every spring of odd-numbered years since 1961, organized by the Croatian Composers' Society and founded by Milko Kelemen. One of Europe's most important contemporary music events, it gives equal weight to twentieth-century classical repertoire and experimental work across symphonic and chamber concerts, opera, ballet, music theatre, and multimedia performances, with the next edition running April 5-12.
Every spring of an odd-numbered year, Zagreb's concert halls, opera house, and theatres fill with the sounds of contemporary composition as Music Biennale Zagreb returns, a festival tradition stretching back to 1961.
