Festival Internacional de Coros Corhabana

Emerging in 1999 as the more modest Encuentro Coral de La Habana before adopting the name Corhabana in 2002 and expanding internationally, this biennial Havana choral festival, organized by the National Center for Concert Music and the Cuban Institute of Music under Digna Guerra Ramirez, has grown from a US-Cuba choir exchange into a gathering of professional and vocational choirs from across Latin America and beyond, reaching a recent sixteenth edition.

Havana's choral music gathering emerged in 1999 under the more modest name Encuentro Coral de La Habana, before adopting the name Corhabana in 2002 and expanding into a fully international festival with a format similar to a comparable choral event already established in Santiago de Cuba.
