Havana World Music in Havana
Havana World Music, running since its 2014 debut at the Jose Antonio Hecheverria Social Circle, curates reggae, salsa, electronic music and rock into a single alternative-music program featuring acts including Van Van, Sintesis, X Alfonso and international guests such as the Mexican Institute of Sound and Fuel Fandango, staged mainly at Havana's Metropolitan Park with connections to the influential Fabrica de Arte Cubano.
Havana World Music held its first edition at the Jose Antonio Hecheverria Social Circle in Vedado, growing since 2014 into a festival built specifically around originality and authenticity in alternative music, deliberately grouping genres including reggae, salsa, electronic music and rock rather than presenting a single-genre program.
