Protaras MoonWalk Festival in Protaras
MoonWalk, a free street music festival held on the evening of the last full moon of August, spreads more than 130 musicians across up to 26 stages along the five-kilometre Pernera-Protaras promenade, from the chapel of Saint Nicholas in Pernera to Fig Tree Bay beach in Protaras. Running eight until eleven, the wheelchair-accessible route draws more than fifteen thousand visitors walking between genres.
More than one hundred and thirty musicians, spread across as many as twenty-six separate stages along a five-kilometre stretch of the Pernera-Protaras promenade, give MoonWalk its claim as one of the biggest street music festivals anywhere in Cyprus, a single free evening timed deliberately to the last full moon of August each year and drawing more than fifteen thousand visitors to walk the full route rather than sit through one fixed concert.
