Czech Truck Prix Most in Most

Autodrom Most, built 1978 to 1983 on a former open-cast coal mine, opened as Czechoslovakia's first permanent motor racing circuit, and truck racing arrived there in 1992 with an international field including Swedish, German and British drivers, quickly earning a place on the FIA European Truck Racing Championship calendar the following year. A serious 1995 safety crisis saw both the FIA and FIM withdraw the circuit's licences, resolved within five months by a rapid safety renovation that restored racing, including the Czech Truck Prix.

Autodrom Most, the venue for the Czech Truck Prix, was built between 1978 and 1983 on the site of a former open-cast coal mine, opening as the first permanent motor racing facility anywhere in Czechoslovakia, though the surrounding Most district had organised motorcycle races informally as early as 1947, well before the purpose-built circuit existed.
